The Empowerment Plan

With every purchase of a coral or periwinkle agenda you are helping in the effort to end homelessness. My Infinite Agenda is proud to partner with The Empowerment Plan, a Detroit based non-profit working to permanently elevate families from the generational cycle of homelessness by creating jobs that lift people out of poverty.

The Empowerment Plan hires single parents from local shelters and provides them with training and full-time employment as seamstresses producing EMPWR Coats, so they can earn a stable income, secure housing, and regain their independence.

  • The durable EMPWR Coats can transform into a sleeping bag or an over-the-shoulder bag, and are designed to meet the needs of those in the homeless community.
  • 35,000 coats have been distributed internationally, including all 50 states, 11 Canadian provinces and territories, and 17 other countries.

  • Since 2012, The Empowerment Plan has provided employment to 75 homeless individuals—all of whom have now secured permanent housing for themselves and their families.

Homelessness should not be a life sentence.
